Necessary Cotton Survey for Missouri
Received a recent email from Cotton Inc regarding Cotton growers of MO not answering a survey of cotton needs. Please fill out the survey at your earliest convenience. Research money for Missouri is at stake. Please forward this information to all your cotton growers , thanks!
Dear Cotton Researcher,
Cotton Incorporated’s Natural Resource Survey is off to a strong start, with 250 respondents in the first week. However, growers in your State are not participating to the level their planted acreage suggests and thus risk being poorly represented. We are shooting for 1,000 plus which should accurately represent U.S. cotton to help prioritize Cotton Incorporated research funding and identify the significant gains producers have made in the last 5 years lowering their environmental footprint. For your information, we have two websites that address cotton sustainability, www.cottonleads.org and http://cottontoday.cottoninc.com(relaunching tomorrow); please feel free to use these for background on cotton’s environmental footprint.
As you visit with cotton producers in person, at meetings, and other media during the next 30 days please encourage them to take the Natural Resource Survey.
Attached is the post card we mailed to producers with more back ground and a link to the survey.
Thanks and look for a summary of survey results from us in July.
