Sugarcane aphid in Missouri sorghum

I have gotten reports that sugarcane aphid arrived in Southeast Missouri on approximately 8/13/14.  As soon as I got this information, I contacted the MO Department of AG and Dow for a letter of support to use Transform in Missouri sorghum.  we currently have 70,000 acres of sorghum planted with harvest in early October.  Transform is one of the few chemicals available that works well on controlling sugarcane aphid.   I am currently working with representatives of Dow, University of Missouri Agriculture Business Specialist, David Reinbott, and the Missouri Dept of Ag to see if I can get a Sec 18 approved for this year. I have been working feverishly at gathering information necessary to push this through as an urgent request. As soon as I hear anything, I’ll let you know.
