Corn Earworm Alert

From the MU IPM pest monitoring program:

Potentially significant captures of Corn Earworm (Helicoverpa zea) have been reported in Pemiscot and Stoddard Counties. This is the 4th alert for Pemiscot County and the 1st for Stoddard County. A list of 2011 alerts can be viewed here.

Corn Earworm captures in a pheromone trap do not indicate that treatment is necessary, but indicate that fields should be scouted. Be aware that this alert applies only to Corn Earworm.

Be aware that not all counties have an active Corn Earworm trap. (View Missouri Corn Earworm Maps)
